The Nevada Cubs can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Perry with a sharp 47-24 win. That's another feather in the cap for Nevada, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Perry lost, one person who can't be blamed is Taryn Nehring. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Nevada's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Perry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nevada will take on Bondurant-Farrar at TBD on Wednesday. Nevada has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Perry, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Des Moines North at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Perry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Friday.
