Basketball Recap: Orem Skates Past Wasatch with Ease

Orem won the last time they faced Wasatch and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Orem Tigers claimed a resounding 72-43 victory over the Wasatch Wasps. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Wasps are ranked 58th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Orem's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points per game. As for Wasatch, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Orem will square off against Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timpview will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Orem surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wasatch, they will face off against Cedar Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season.
