Baseball Recap: Dover's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Covington-Douglas, Dover was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Hollis Tigers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Longhorns as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Casen Buck, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Kitchens, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Dover always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Dover back to even at 4-4. As for Hollis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Dover and Hollis will both be playing Drummond the next time they take the field. Hollis will host Drummond at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, while Dover will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
