Football Recap: Paoli Skates Past Mitchell with Ease

Paoli came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Mitchell Bluejackets 57-6. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bluejackets, too.

Paoli got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Thornton out in front who rushed for 186 yards and two TDs on only eight carries. Thornton's longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Dane Padgett was another key player, rushing for 138 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Paoli was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 444 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
