Volleyball Recap: Doherty Takes a Loss

Doherty lost against Rampart back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Rams. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-11.

Brenna Moerman paced Doherty's offense, picking up seven kills. Moerman got some help from Makari Cooper and her ten assists. Isabella Tessier controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Kylie Glenn was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 17 assists and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Clarose, who had ten digs and one assist.

Doherty's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Rampart, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Doherty is set to face off against their familiar foe Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rampart will challenge rival Fountain-Fort Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
