Basketball Recap: Montgomery Comes Up Short

Montgomery suffered their biggest defeat since February 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Northwest Area Rangers, falling 70-39. The game marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Northwest Area, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery will take on Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Northwest Area, they will face off against South Williamsport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Williamsport will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Northwest Area surely won't give up without a fight.
