Basketball Recap: Dysart Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Dysart Demons were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to the Thunderbird Titans. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thunderbird found their leader in sophomore Isabella Illingworth, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Illingworth has scored at least a third of Thunderbird's points. Another player making a difference was Roscella Tsosie, who posted nine points.

Dysart now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Thunderbird, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Dysart didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-20 defeat against Agua Fria on the 12th. Thunderbird has also already played their next game, a 45-29 loss against Deer Valley on the 12th.
