Basketball Recap: Bernalillo Wins Going Away Against Rio Grande

There's no place like home for Bernalillo, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 48-31 victory over the Rio Grande Ravens on Monday. That 17 point margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

Rio Grande's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Knight, who posted five points.

The win got Bernalillo back to even at 5-5. As for Rio Grande, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Bernalillo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-45 victory against Cibola on the 2nd. As for Rio Grande, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 33-27 loss against Espanola Valley on the 2nd.
