Recap: Faith Christian Lions vs. Wadley Bulldogs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Faith Christian Lions walked away with it. They secured a 60-56 W over the Bulldogs on Monday. That's two games straight that Faith Christian has won by exactly four points.
Despite the defeat, Wadley saw an underclassman step up: Frisco Robertson scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robertson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaquez Wilkes, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Faith Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-16 record this season. As for Wadley, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Faith Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Winterboro at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Alabama (Faith Christian is ranked 326th, while Winterboro is ranked 332nd). Wadley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
