The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mountain View Christian in their matchups with Sandy Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
Tage Colon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sandy Valley, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that Colon pulled down eight or more rebounds. Damion Turner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Mountain View Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-9 record this season. As for Sandy Valley, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian will take on Word of Life Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sandy Valley, they will be playing at home against Liberty Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
