Baseball Game Preview: Oak Hill Raiders vs. Madison Bulldogs

The Oak Hill Raiders will challenge the Madison Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Saturday, Oak Hill didn't have quite enough to beat Dirigo and fell 5-4.

Braden Dubuc put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Dubuc was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

In other batting news, Logan Langlois made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Madison's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Monmouth Academy by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since May 15, 2024.

Madison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Dunham, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Everything went Oak Hill's way against Madison when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Oak Hill made off with a 14-1 victory. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
