Softball Recap: Canby Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Canby rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over Caldera. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Alli Hayzlett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 22 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Abigail Troutman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Canby's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Caldera, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.

Canby has already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against Ridgeview on the 3rd. Caldera does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
