Basketball Recap: Murrah Takes a Loss

Murrah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 49-31 bruising from the Clinton Arrows. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-24 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clinton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aria Jones, who posted 15 points and six boards. That's the most points Jones has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caitlin White, who went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points and three steals.

Murrah's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Clinton, their record now sits at 18-7.

Murrah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-45 loss against Lanier on the 30th. Clinton has also already played their next game, a 55-40 victory against Madison Central on the 31st.
