Softball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the Cooper Jaguars.

Macie Wade was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Howard, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Cooper, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Lincoln County will host Bourbon County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots are facing the Colonels at the right time seeing as the Colonels are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cooper, they will be taking part in a tournament against Webster County at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
