Recap: New Castle Trojans vs. Anderson Indians
The New Castle Trojans lost against the Anderson Indians back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. New Castle took a 62-46 bruising from Anderson. New Castle has struggled against Anderson recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Anderson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was damien King, who scored 27 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which King has scored at least 25% of Anderson's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javon Warfield, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds.
New Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Anderson, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
New Castle will head out on the road to face off against Shelbyville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Shelbyville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Saturday. Anderson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pike at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th.
