Baseball Recap: Barnwell Takes a Loss

Barnwell has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.38 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They lost 11-4 to the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers. The Warhorses have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Cameron Austin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Barnwell's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Batesburg-Leesville, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4-1.
