The Caston Comets will venture away from home to challenge the Pioneer Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Caston, who comes in off a win.
Caston is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Argos 20-3 on Saturday. Considering the Comets have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Natalie Warner made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Caston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .595. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Pioneer didn't have quite enough to beat Knox on Monday and fell 4-3.
Averi Layer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Beasy, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Caston's record now sits at 11-7. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Caston hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Pioneer struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Caston came up short against Pioneer when the teams last played back in May of 2025, falling 5-2. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
