Baseball Recap: Folsom Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Folsom had lost five games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 9-19 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past the Del Oro Golden Eagles 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles on Monday, they had to take a 5-1 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Manny Orange, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Del Oro, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-9. Golden Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Folsom since on Tuesday.

On Del Oro's side, Kael Lumbert was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Lumbert gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Folsom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Del Oro, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Bella Vista at 4:00 p.m.
