Baseball Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short

Cascade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Omak Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 on Tuesday.

Cascade saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Kukowski, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Omak, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pioneers beat Cascade by a score of 22-2 later that day.
