Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Cardinal Gibbons). They claimed a resounding  71-13 win over the Sanderson Spartans. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  victory against them.
 Conner Lindsey went supernova, throwing for 328 yards and six  touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes. He is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as he's  now  passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brayden Karras, who picked up 87 receiving yards and three  TDs.

 When it comes to explaining why Sanderson lost on Friday, don't look at  Ben Young III. Despite the final result, he rushed for 95 yards and one  score on only 12 carries.

 Cardinal Gibbons and Sanderson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Crusaders (ranked eighth) will meet Cary (ranked 122nd)  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile,  Sanderson will  face off against  Mount Zion Christian Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday with a big rank  advantage  (144 vs. 338).
