Softball Recap: Riverside Sets Scoring Season-High Against Parker

Riverside made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Parker, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Riverside put the hurt on Parker with a sharp 25-10 win on Tuesday. The Generals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

C Emanuel was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). E Miller was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Riverside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .818. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matches.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Parker, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Riverside will challenge Wolfson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside's pitchers better be ready for this one: Wolfson has averaged an impressive 14.4 runs per game this season. As for Parker, they will host Raines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raines has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.67 runs per game on average), something Parker will no doubt try to take advantage of.
