Basketball Recap: Utica Finds Home Court Redemption Against Heath

There's no place like home for Utica, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Heath Bulldogs by a score of 61-52 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-39 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Heath still got an impressive performance from Peyton Del Cecato, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Del Cecato has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Adrianne Pethtel was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Utica's record is now 9-6. As for Heath, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Utica wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-34 loss against Johnstown-Monroe on the 20th. Heath has also already played their next game, a 45-28 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 22nd.
