Softball Game Preview: Parkland Mustangs vs. Mount Tabor Spartans

The Parkland Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Mount Tabor Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Parkland's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matches.

Parkland barely beat Western Guilford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Parkland put the hurt on Western Guilford with a sharp 22-10 victory on Thursday. Considering the Mustangs have won seven contests by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Mount Tabor was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 16-1 to Reagan.

Mount Tabor has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Parkland's win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Parkland suffered a grim 23-6 defeat to Mount Tabor in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Parkland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
