Softball Recap: Havre Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Havre's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Corvallis Blue Devils with a sharp 16-10 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Blue Ponies as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Havre got a massive performance out of Bree Hanson, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Hanson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riely Doney, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and five RBI.

Havre always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Havre's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Corvallis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Havre will venture away from home to take on Polson at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Ponies will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven games. As for Corvallis, they will square off against Fergus at 6:40 p.m. on Friday.
