Westview has gone 8-2 against Central Noble recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Central Noble took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Westview, who comes in off a win.
Westview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand West Noble a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Max Engle
Max Engle was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Westview is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Engle was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Engle, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gavin Engle, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Westview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Central Noble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Prairie Heights. Cougars fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Tuesday.
Corbin Douglas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Central Noble saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landyn Champion, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Champion has hit this season.
Westview moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Central Noble, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Westview beat Central Noble 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
