Softball Recap: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. Western Reserve Blue Devils
In what's become a running theme this season, Mineral Ridge gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Western Reserve Blue Devils as the Mineral Ridge Rams made off with an 8-1 win. This was a revenge contest for Mineral Ridge, as the team was forced to settle for a 6-1 defeat when these two played last Monday.
Lily Merolillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on four hits.
At the plate, Aaliyah Wall was incredible, going 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sullivan Sandy, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
