Donald Barksdale Dazzles in Steel Valley Win

Starting off the list is Steel Valley's Donald Barksdale, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Barksdale rushed for 153 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles and defending two passes.

If the past is any indication, Barksdale could be in store for another big game when he takes on Ligonier Valley on Friday. When Barksdale last faced the Rams back in September of 2023, he rushed for 221 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries.

South Allegheny pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Lewis will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Sto-Rox on Friday.

Cameron Epps put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

For the season, Barksdale has thrown 2 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 17.5 passing yards per game.

Drew Cook Makes It Three for South Allegheny

Another South Allegheny player making an appearance on this list is Drew Cook. He picked up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 53 yards.
