Volleyball Recap: Junction Eagles vs. Llano Yellowjackets

Junction was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Llano Yellowjackets. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Junction sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 25-18.

Llano was led to victory by Sydney Kuykendall and Addison Priem. Kuykendall had six digs and three aces, while Priem had 12 kills and five digs. What's more, Priem also posted a 6.1% hitting percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024.

Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Llano, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Junction has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Graham on the 15th. As for Llano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 15th.
