Volleyball Recap: Pieper Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

There's no place like home for Pieper, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the United Longhorns by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.

The victory didn't come easy: United scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pieper to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amaris Williams, who had 14 assists and three aces. Williams is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Cayleigh Monson was another key player, getting nine digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Pieper was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as United only served two aces.

Pieper's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. As for United, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Pieper has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Long Creek on the 22nd. As for United, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Warren on the 22nd.
