Basketball Recap: Coventry Takes a Loss

Coventry was the 42-38 winner over Norton when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Coventry Comets fell to the Norton Panthers 54-50.

When it comes to explaining why Coventry lost on Tuesday, don't look at Kameryn Kennerly. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points. Kennerly's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Meinen, who put up 13 points and five rebounds.

Coventry's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Norton, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Coventry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-52 defeat against Lake on the 10th. As for Norton, they will take on Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Buckeye will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Norton surely won't give up without a fight.
