Despite the loss, Sacramento Country Day saw an underclassman step up: Ryan Scripps scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scripps has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Taylor, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Buckingham Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Sacramento Country Day, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
Buckingham Charter will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Sacramento Adventist at 7:30 p.m. As for Sacramento Country Day, they will head out on the road to challenge Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sacramento Country Day is coming into the game with four straight losses on the road, meaning Faith Christian will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
