Football Recap: Nashawn Jacobs Key Part of Team Effort in Indians Win

After losing to Palatka the last time they met, Baldwin decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Indians enjoyed a cozy 31-14 win over the Panthers on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Baldwin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nashawn Jacobs, who rushed for 162 yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Jacobs a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another signal caller making a difference was Stephen Screws, who threw for 167 yards and two TDs.

Baldwin has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Palatka, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Baldwin will challenge KIPP Bold City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palatka, they will face off against Providence School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
