Football Game Preview: Crystal City Javelinas vs. Jourdanton Indians/Squaws

Crystal City is 0-3 against Jourdanton since October of 2022 but things could change on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Crystal City will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Friday, Crystal City didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Carrizo Springs, but they still walked away with a 27-22 win. Those 27 points were actually the fewest the Javelinas have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Adrian Zavala continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Zavala is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 120 every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jourdanton, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They came out on top against Floresville by a score of 41-30 last Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Indians/Squaws considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

Jourdanton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Crystal City, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
