Volleyball Game Preview: Compass Academy Cougars vs. Anthony Wildcats

The Compass Academy Cougars will square off against the Anthony Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Compass Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Compass Academy got the win against Coahoma by a conclusive 3-0.

Compass Academy can attribute much of their success to Makayla Levario, who had eight digs and three assists, and Sareyah Hinojoz, who had eight digs. That's the most assists Levario has posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Anthony lost 3-0 to Alpine on Saturday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Anthony was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Alpine's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-10, 25-16.

Compass Academy's win bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Anthony, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.
