Baseball Recap: Johnston Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Johnston and Ankeny Centennial had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Dragons fell 6-3 to the Jaguars on Thursday. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Johnston's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Ankeny Centennial, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Jaguars beat Johnston by a score of 6-1 later that day.
