Basketball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

Carlisle played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 87-32 loss at the hands of the Overton Mustangs. The Indians have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Overton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Hall, who went 6 for 13 en route to 14 points in addition to seven steals and five boards. The dominant performance gave Hall a new career-high in steals. Joey Zalman was another key player, putting up 13 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Overton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Alto the next time they take the court. Overton will host Alto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Carlisle will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
