Anna-Jonesboro not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8th (when they won 12-2). Everything went their way against the Carterville Lions as they made off with a 12-3 victory. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Aaron Sheffer, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Taj Hodges also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Anna-Jonesboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Anna-Jonesboro has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.
