Softball Game Preview: Pleasant Hope Pirates vs. Lincoln Cardinals

The Pleasant Hope Pirates will take on the Lincoln Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Things were looking good for Pleasant Hope after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Marionville, falling 10-3. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Lincoln put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 21-8 margin over Midway. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Lincoln's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Pleasant Hope, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
