South Granville won the last time they faced Southern School of Energy and Sustainability and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings blew past the Spartans 19-6. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Michael Moore spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Vani Hernandez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. South Granville is 6-1 when Hernandez posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Fuller, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

South Granville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

The victory made it two in a row for South Granville and bumps their season record up to 13-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

As of now, neither South Granville nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
