Basketball Game Preview: Aitkin Gobblers vs. East Central Eagles

The Aitkin Gobblers will face off against the East Central Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aitkin is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-45, which was the final score in Aitkin's tilt against Mora on Tuesday. The game marked the Gobblers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, East Central lost to Cherry on the road by a 88-70 margin on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Aitkin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for East Central, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Aitkin might still be hurting after the 72-46 defeat they got from East Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2018. Can Aitkin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
