Basketball Recap: Richland Northeast Comes Up Short

After flying high against Columbia last Saturday, Richland Northeast came back down to earth. The Richland Northeast Cavaliers were beaten by the Spring Valley Vikings 65-25 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Richland Northeast now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Spring Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Richland Northeast will take on Northside Christian Academy in a tournament on Saturday. As for Spring Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lexington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
