Softball Preview: Flint Hill Huskies vs. National Cathedral

Flint Hill is 8-2 against National Cathedral since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Huskies will host National Cathedral at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Flint Hill barely beat Georgetown Visitation Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies never let the Cubs get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Cate Stanley made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over 6.2 innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
