It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cloverdale can now relate to. They took a blow against the Sheridan Blackhawks on Friday, falling 42-14. The Clovers were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Although Cloverdale took the loss, they still got scores from Tayt Jackson and Levi Johnson.

Jonathan Barnes went supernova for Sheridan, rushing for 116 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance gave Barnes a new career-high in rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayne Voege, who picked up 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Cloverdale's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Sheridan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.
