            Softball Recap: Malvern Hornets vs. Hiland Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            Malvern was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They lost  13-4 to the Hiland Hawks. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March of 2024.
  Izzy Warth led a balanced group of hitters,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Skye Harmon, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  run.
Malvern's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Hiland, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-5.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malvern will face off against Fairless at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.67  runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hiland, they will challenge Sandy Valley at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
