            Softball Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Northridge Grizzlies        
        
		
        
        
            If Valley was feeling good  fresh off their  21-11 takedown of Basalt on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell just short of the Northridge Grizzlies by a score of  7-5 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the  19-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2024.
  Danica Flesner made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI.
Valley has also been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record  this season. As for Northridge, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Looking ahead, Valley will take on Platte Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 13.7  runs per game this season. As for Northridge, they will host Wellington  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
