Basketball Recap: Harrison Falls to Colerain in First Game of Season

Harrison unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colerain Cardinals on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 45-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Harrison's loss came despite strong showings from Tucker Ward and Brady Lawhon. Ward posted 21 points, while Lawhon went 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points. Lawhon is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Stigler, who scored six points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrison will take on Sycamore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colerain, they will head out to take on Purcell Marian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
