Softball Recap: Talladega Comes Up Short

Talladega was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against Handley, falling 20-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Handley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 back in March.

Talladega's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Handley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Talladega will take on Shelby County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Handley, they will square off against Reeltown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
