Whitney has gone 9-0-1 against Rocklin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Whitney Wildcats will welcome the Rocklin Thunder at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Whitney is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Granite Bay on Thursday. Whitney fell just short of Granite Bay by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 299th).

Whitney's goal came courtesy of Adrian Serrano Martin, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Rocklin came up short against Davis Sr. on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Whitney's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three games. As for Rocklin, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5-3.

Whitney was able to grind out a solid victory over Rocklin when the teams last played back in January, winning 2-0. Does Whitney have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rocklin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
