It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ross had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Wilmington Hurricane. The win was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won five matchups in a row.
Paige Baker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
