Softball Recap: Wells Takes a Loss

Wells was the 18-6 winner over Apple Springs when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday.

Wells dropped their record down to 2-10-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Apple Springs, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-14.

While Wells had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
